Xuan is a Visiting Student at the Center for Geographic Analysis and a coming Ph.D. student at the University of Georgia. Xuan is interested in GIS and planning applications in health, with a current focus on walking environment evaluation and improvement. Her Master thesis considered people's preferences in walkability measurement and found how the walking environment can promote walking activities. Her thesis research was funded by the Office of Sustainability at the University of Georgia. She also worked as research consultant in NASA DEVELOP National Program for three terms. She received her M.S. Degree from the University of Georgia and B.S. Degree from Wuhan University.
